Rolling fields. Wooden fences. Hard work. Honest meals.
Then the trader Fin arrived.
He came downriver in his boat, pale, shaking, refusing to dock at first. When he finally spoke, the village square went silent.

A plague swept through the city. Not sickness as you know it, but something worse. Citizens turned mad and feral. Teeth bared. Bloodshot eyes. Foam on their lips. They tore into each other like animals.
